Andhra Association held Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam at its premises recently. The event began with shobhayatra of Panchdhatu Idols amidst chanting Rama Namam collectively by the devotees who were wearing common colour code dress. Later eminent priests B Satyanarayana Sarma accompanied by G Gopala Krishna from Hyderabad, performed the Sita Rama Kalyanam by chanting Vedic mantras. S V Ramana with S Subhadra and K V Srinivas with K Nagamani shared the dais representing bride and grooms’ parties respectively for the event. Chennaiya accompanied by his team from Andhra Pradesh provided Sanai music. The programme witnessed huge number of devotees.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari was the chief guest. He was given rousing welcome amidst changing of hymns and sounding music drums. R Muralidhar, President of the Association, felicitated Gadkari. Secretary, PSN Murty and other distinguished Members were also seated on the dais. On second day, Sri Rama Pattabhishekam took place with religious fervor along with chanting of Vedic mantras as well as musical instruments. Couple M S Raju and M Indira performed the religious event. Prior to that, Members of the Association performed ‘Maha Abhishekam’ to all the Panchdhatu Idols.
