Under second phase of polling on April 26, polling would be held in Damoh, Khajuraho, Satna, Rewa, Hoshangabad, Tikamgarh Lok Sabha area. The polling parties in polling booth in these Lok Sabha area have already reached to their respective polling booths. The polling teams have been sent to respective polling booths in the GPS vehicles. Three assembly segment of Katni namely Vijaraghavgarh, Katni Mudwara, Bahoriband comes under Khajuraho Lok Sabha seat. The polling teams for these three areas were handed over election material from Krishi Upaj Mandi campus. the polling teams have reached to their polling booths. All arrangements were made for polling teams in view of rising mercury. From Khajuraho Lok Sabha seat, State BJP President and sitting MP VD Sharma is trying his luck for second time. In last election he had won the seat by more than four lakh votes. This time Congress had given to this seat to Samajwadi Party under the INDI alliance aggreement. But shockingly SP candidate nomination form was cancelled due to non submission of required documents. Then Congress and SP declared support for All India Forward Block candidate and Retired IAS RB Prajapati. BSP also has an impact on this seat hence contest at this seat is quite exciting.
 
Webcasting facility has been arranged for Election Commission to moniter the polling process. . In second phase , in Damoh 19.19 lakh voters, in Satna 16.98 lakh voters, in Khajuraho 19.94 lakh, in Hosgshangabad 18.50 lakh voters, in Rewa 18.45 lakh voters would seal the fate of candidate. In Satna BJP has pitted sitting MP Ganesh Singh against Congress candidate Sidharth Kushwaha, BSP has fielded EX MLA Narayan Tripathi. In Rewa, BJP has fielded Janardan Mishra against Congress candidate Neelma Abhay Mishra. In Damoh Lok Sabha,Rahul Singh Lodhi has been fielded by BJP against Tarbar Singh from Congress. Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan said that voter slips with QR code have been distributed to the voters for the second phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024. From the voter information slip containing QR code, voters will be able to get other important information like name of their polling station, address, serial number, voter number in the electoral roll, helpline number of the state and district. In an attempt to encourage voters participation, Rajan said that if a voter does not have a voter slip and his name is registered in the voter list, then the voter will be able to vote by showing any one of the 13 documents.
 
These are 13 optional documents: Voter ID Card with photo, Aadhaar Card, PAN card, Divyang Unique ID Card, Driving License, MNREGA Job Card, Pension Document (with photo), Passport, Passbook (issued by Bank/Post Office with photo), Service Identity Card with photo (Central/ Issued by State Government/PSU/Public Limited Companies), Official Identity Cards issued to MPs, MLAs and Legislative Council Members, Smart Cards issued by RGI under NPR, Health Insurance Smart Cards (issued under the Scheme of Ministry of Labour) eligible voter can vote by showing any document. He has urged all voters to vote with enthusiasm. For Tikamgarh seat main candidates are sitting MP Virendra Khatik of BJP and Pankaj Ahirwar from Congress the Party. In Rewa, Janardan Mishra has been pitted against Neelam Mishra. While in Hoshangabad BJP’s Uday Pratap Singh is going to take on Congress’ Ramesh Dubey. Satna seat will witness fight between BJP’s Ganesh Singh and Congress’ Siddharth Kushwaha. Arch rivals have fielded Lodhi vs Lodhi as there is Rahul Lodhi from BJP is contesting against Congress’ Tarvar Singh Lodhi. Most interesting seat Khajuraho from where BJP has fielded its state President and Sitting MP, Vishnu Datt Sharma against INDIA Alliance candidate R B Prajapati.
