Soham nets four in Big Ben’s win

BIG Ben Football Academy and Porwal Football Academy registered wins over their respective rivals in the ongoing KickFlicks NDFA Under-13 Inter-Academy Boys Football Tournament being played at Dr Ambedkar Football Stadium in Suyog Nagar on Sunday. While Big Ben Football Academy drubbed Lashkari Bagh by four goals to one, Porwal defeated Nobel Sports Academy 2-1. Big Ben’s boys rode on Soham Neware’s top play as he scored all the goals including a hat-trick to beat their opponents. Neware put Big Ben ahead in the sixth minute of play. But Lashkari Bagh managed to level the scores in the 15th minute through Asheer Khan’s fine goal. Neware then found the net in 24th minute to have Big Ben ahead again. The striker added another to his as well as team’s kitty scoring in the 28th minute to make it 3-1. In the 39th minute Neware scored his and team’s fourth goal to register a resounding win.
 
In the second match, Porwal Football Academy registered a come from behind victory over Nobel Sports Academy.
For Nobel Sports Academy, Ahan Mendhe found the target in 13th minute of play to give his team lead. But in 22nd minute, a fine goal by Mohammad Aasir levelled the scores. Six minutes later, Afyaan Qureshi (28th) found the net to make it 2-1. Porwal players did well to keep the lead intact till the final whistle. Nobel side’s Zainul Abedin (11th) was cautioned. In the JSW Women’s league, IFFC Chankapur Club pipped Maha Youth Club 1-0. IFFC Chankapur took the lead in 43rd minute through Rashi Dahat and continued to maintain it till last minute of play. Maha Youth side’s Rutuja Gadmade (21st), Isha Manmudhare (21st) and Taniya Bawane (28th) were cautioned.
