Crime Branch and Tilwara police have nabbed an accused and seized 309 quarters illegal stock of country-made and English liquor from him, on Tuesday. The arrested has been identified as Sanjay Yadav (40), a resident of Amanala village, Sunwara in Seoni district. SHO of Tilwara police station, Brijesh Mishra informed that Crime Branch received information about a man lived behind Sukoon Hotel involved in illegal trade of liquor. Taking prompt action on the information, Superintendent of Police, Aditya Pratap Singh (IPS) constituted a combine team of Crime Branch and Tilwara police under the supervision of Additional SP (City), Summer Verma and CSP, Garha, Devendra Pratap Singh.
Team raided the identified spot where two men tried to escape from the spot but alert cops managed to catch one of them.
 
The arrested identified as Sanjay Yadav, resident of Seoni district who disclosed the name of Mahesh Yadav, resident of Ghunsaur village in Tilwara who escaped from the spot. In the search of house, police seized 300 quarters illegal stock of country-made liquor and 9 quarters of English liquor from the spot. Tilwara police have registered a case against the accused under Section 34(2) of Excise Act while a rigorous search is underway to arrest absconding Mahesh Yadav. The raid was conducted by police team comprised of Inspector, Swarnshila, ASI, Tikaram, Head Constable, Prithvi Singh, Constables, Dara Singh, Rahul and Crime Branch’s ASI, Virendra Singh, ASI, Prashant Solanki, Head Constables, Neeraj Tiwari, Mannu Singh, Satyendra Yadav, Sadiq Ali, Akhilesh Pandey and Constable, Ajay Lodhi.
