Madhya Pradesh is set to see extreme heat in April, especially Gwalior and Chambal belt. Indian Meteorology Department (IMD) said that heat wave would be bothering people in April and last week of the month would be touching above 46 degrees Celsius. Weather Department has forecast day temperature to touch 46 or 47 degrees Celsius in Bhind, Morena, Datia and Sheopurkala while Nimari, Panna, Chhattarpur, Tikamgarh, Khargone and Shivpuri to record day temperature of around 45 degrees Celsius. Weather scientists said that this year trend includes scorching heat wave in parts of State because of Al-Nino. Apart from day temperature, minimum temperature will also remain higher in many cities. On April 2, a western disturbance has been activated and another western disturbance is becoming active from April 5.
 
Weather would be changing in State with this disturbance by April 7 or 8. There are no chances of rainfall in State as of now. Though people faced inconvenience with hot and dry weather in most parts of State but temperature declined marginally by two to three degrees in comparison to March weekend. State capital Bhopal recorded hot and dry weather throughout day that gave tough time to the people. On Tuesday, highest day temperature was recorded in Khandwa as 40.1 degrees Celsius. Lowest minimum temperature was recorded 16.7 degrees Celsius in Dhar. Maximum temperature in Bhopal was recorded as 37.8 and minimum 20.0 degrees Celsius.
