Ayodhya Nagar police arrested two individuals Sumit Jatav (20) and Nikhil Sharma (26), both residents of Piplani, over lifting vehicles and conducting robberies in the houses in the city on Monday. In the interrogation with the accused, 14 incidents of theft and burglary were unveiled and theft items worth Rs 4.5 lakhs were also seized. As per the information, the police got information through the whistleblower that two individuals are roaming in Ayodhya Nagar on a two wheelers without a number plate. Taking a note of seriousness of the matter, the police went at the location to probe into the matter. Seeing the police, the accused tried to fled from the spot but were later arrested. During the interrogation, 2 mobile phones were recovered from the individuals which were robbed recently by the fugitives.

 

They also mentioned that they also attempted a series of theft from the Indore along with the capital and 8 and 3 phones robbed from Bhopal and Indore respectively were further seized on the location. In the further investigation, the police recovered gold jewellery from the accused which they reportedly robed from the house of a women residing in Ayodhya Nagar. A total of seized items worth Rs 4.5 lakhs were recovered by the police. Digging into the same, it was further unveiled that various cases were registered against the accused under arms act and sections 380, 454, 294, 323, 440, 379, 380, 381 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) on the charges of theft and burglary among others.
