A leopard’s carcass was found in Dilehari Beat in the Satpura forests of Narsinghpur district on Monday evening. The leopard is said to be about two years old. 12 hours after receiving the information, Forest Department officials reached the spot and started investigation. After getting the information, the department’s employees remained stationed for the security of the dead body till Tuesday morning and the senior officials of the forest department did not take any notice.

When the matter came up on social media, the DFO immediately reached the spot and started investigation. The dog escort team is investigating the spot with two dogs. Narsinghpur DFO, Lavit Bharti said that, “I got the news on Monday evening, I am still on the spot. I will check it now. Once there, the forensic team is also here I will sit with them and understand what was the cause behind the leopard’s death.
