SPORTIAN Football Academy and SFS Academy registered wins over their respective rivals in the ongoing KickFlicks NDFA Under-13 Inter-Academy Boys Football Tournament being played at Dr Ambedkar Football Stadium in Suyog Nagar on Sunday. Riding on Viraj Shende’s brace, Sportian Football Academy crushed SECR Academy by six goals to nil. In a one-sided battle, Shende scored the opener in first 60 seconds of play. Nishchay Hedaoo then doubled the lead in the 7th minute. Minutes later, Aryan Tamboli (17th) found the net for Sportian. Mrudu Tidke (27th) scored another one to make it 4-0. In the 35th minute of play, Shende scored his second and team’s fifth goal. Aryan Parse (38th) also registered his name in the scoresheet for the winning side.

 

In another match, SFS Academy registered a come from behind 3-1 victory over Big Ben. For Big Ben, Soham Neware found the target in second minute of play to give his team lead. But in 13th minute, a fine goal by Kounin Qureshi of SFS levelled the scores. The striker added another to his as well as team’s kitty scoring in the 31st minute. In 41st minute, Samuel Francis of SFS found the target to make it 3-1. SFS players did will to keep the lead intact till the final minute to register a resounding win. In the third match, Unity Football Academy got full points as Ansari Academy did not turn up.
