Mortal remains of Madhvi Raje Scindia, mother of Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, was merged into five elements in Gwalior, onThursday. The last rites of the erstwhile queen of Gwalior saw major footfall which included various political leaders and loyalists of Scindia family. Before the funeral was held at Amma ji ki Chhatri, the body was placed at Rani Mahal of the Jai Vilas Palace for bidding final adieu to Raje.

 

Attendees of the funeral included Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav, State BJP President Vishnu Dutt Sharma, State Organisational General Secretary of BJP Hitanand Sharma, Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla, State Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, Prahlad Patel and former Minister Dr Narottam Mishra also paid tributes to the departed soul.

Paying respect, CM Yadav said, “I on the behalf of myself and State condole sudden demise of Madhvi Raje Scindia.

May Lord Mahakal grant place to the soul in his feet and provide strength to the grief stricken family.” Calling her death a great loss, State BJP President VD Sharma said that people of the State and the BJP stands with Scindia family in this hour of grief.
