SP, Dindori Vahini Singh took instant action on the complain of students of a nursing college of district headquarter against the Nursing College Director for not returning back their original documents, which later resulted to the College Director returning the documents to the students within 2 hours. SP, Dindori warned College Director of lodging FIR against him if he harrasses the students again. As a matter of fact, many nursing colleges are running in the area which are openly violating the rules and norms and harassing the students. Jai Bharti Institute of Nursing is being run at district headquarter. The students of this Nursing Course approached Collectorate complaining that from last 4 years. College Director has kept their original educational documents and is not returning them back. The annual exams are not being conducted and hence students are demanding return of their fees.

Complaining students informed that in year 2020-21 they took admission in B.Sc Nursing and GNM course in this institute. When they took admission, College Director asked them to deposit their original documents and took Rs 70,000 fees for BSC Nursing Course and Rs 20,000 fees for GNM course. The students have the receipt of this fees. College also took additional fees from students for dress, admission, clinic, registration and other works. From last 3 years annual exam was not conducted due to which they are mentally and financially facing hard time. Hence they asked college director to return back their original documents and fees but he refused hence they approached Administration and police. The complainant students said that they belong to poor families. From last 3 years they are staying in rented rooms in Dindori waiting for exams and for the degree to complete but cxams have not been conducted hence the future is in dark. Hence they wish to take admission in other courses so as to complete their education and get a job.

SP called SDOP after receiving the complain of students. Then SDOP returned the documents of students immediately. College Director initially refuse to give back the documents but on seeing the hard stand of police he gave the documents. Additional Collector Sarodhan Singh was surprised to find that without the exams being conducted, full fees have been recovered from students. Hence he assured students of taking action into the matter. As a matter of fact, 3 nursing college of district headquarters are running without the recognition of Indian Nursing Council. The students took admission in this college school but are not allowed to give exams as recognition of college has been cancelled.
The case is under trial at the honourable High Court. Those students who took admission in session 202 0-21 have still not appeared for the final exams. Due to mismanagement and irregularities done by colleges, the students are facing the brunt as they are not being allowed to give the exams.
