The Einstein International University of United State of America, has declared Honorary Doctorate in Business Management to OK Rajagopalan, President and Chief General Manager of Indian Coffee Workers’ Co-op, Society (ICWCS) Ltd. Jabalpur. This high-level academic honour was granted to Rajagopalan in recognition of his dedication and commitment towards his chosen vocation for his knowledge and skills in managing the business and the notable accomplishments to the Indian Coffee Workers’ Co-operative Society and uplift from lower level to great heights. James Tharakan under Secretary, Government of Karnataka, bestowed the Doctorate Award to Rajagopalan in the convocation organised by the University at White House, Bangalore on Friday.

 

The function was inaugurated by Dr. Balasubramanyan, St. Johns Medical College and Hospital, Bangalore and Dr. Anil Kumar, Chairman, BBM Board, Bangalore University, Dr. Avinash Salgar, Dean, Einstein International University, USA, Dr. Subhashini, Associate Dean, Einstein International University, USA. The chief guest as well as other dignitaries appreciated Rajagopalan for his achievement. M Prakashan, Honorary Secretary, ICWCS, mentioned it a proud moment for all the workers. As the Chairman, Rajagopalan has been rendering his dedicated service to the Society for the last five and a half decades. Already won many awards and honours earlier, now he has added one more feather on the cap with this Honorary Doctorate Award. He said that the Society initiated in 1958 with one branch in Jabalpur, and as on today there as more than 9000 employees and 179 branches spread over 20 States in India.
