Cracking whip on listed criminals and anti-social elements during ‘Night Combing Operation’, police have nabbed total 287 absconding warrantees in the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday. During the night combing, 2 to 3 teams from every police station led by SHOs and Sub Inspectors conducted a rigorous search for warrantees and absconding criminals. Police have apprehended 287 warrantees who were absconding since a long time. Besides this, police have apprehended a habitual criminal while violating the norm of his exiling period. In the campaign, police have nabbed total 100 absconding non-bailable warrantees, 187 arresting warrantees and 150 bailable warrantees.
 
Similarly, police have arrested 29 accused and seized 31-litres country-made liquor, 27-quarters country-made/English liquor while three miscreants were apprehended with sharp edged weapon. It may be noted that under the direction of Superintendent of Police, Aditya Pratap Singh (IPS) police have started night combing operation for apprehending warrantees and absconding criminals and to put-up vigilant check on illegal trade and transportation of liquor, trade of fire arms and gambling under the supervision of Additional SP (City), Sonakshi Saxena (IPS), Additional SP (Crime), Summer Verma, Additional SP (North/Traffic), Pradeep Kumar Shende, Additional SP (Rural), Suryakant Sharma, Sonali Dubey and CSPs. The special campaign will be continued in coming days for implementing preventive policing in the district and maintaining law and order arrangements in the district.
