Jathedar of Akal Takht Sahib Amritsar gets grand welcome

Akal Takht Sahib Amritsar, Jathedar Giani Raghubir Singh, was accorded a rousing welcome on his arrival in Jabalpur at Dumna Airport, on Sunday. He was received by Collector, Deepak Saxena and Superintendent of Police, Aditya Pratap Singh while senior members of Sikh community were present. Giani Raghubir Singh reached at Gurudwara Prem Nagar in form of a grand rally with Dharm Dhwaja followed by a large numbers of bikers and brass band groups. Jathedar Sahib performed Ardas at Prem Nagar Gurudwara. He was welcomed by Gurudwara Prem Nagar, President, Manjeet Singh, Ajit Singh Sity Naiyyar, Jablapur Sikh Sangar Pradhan, Manohar Singh Reel and representatives of other Gurudwara and education institutions by presenting Siropa, garlands and bouquets. Giani Raghubir Singh has been given status of State guest by the Madhya Pradesh Government and he stayed at Circuit House No-1. Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, In-charge, Giani Baldev Singh Ogra also reached the city with Jathedhar Giani Raghubir Singh.

In second phase of the visit, Rashtriya Gurmat Samagam was organised at Gurudrawa Prem Nagar where Shri Darbar Sahib Amritsar’s Hujuri Raji Jatha, Nirbhay Singh, Baldev Singh and Daddi Jatha Gurmat Mission and others gave melodious performance of Saras Gurbani Keertan in respect of third Guru Amardas and fourth Guru Ramdas Ranjit Singh Bhomrah Gugli convened the programme while Secretary, Surendra Singh Hora extended vote of thanks to all the eminent members of Sikh Sangat. The programme was successfully organised with valuable efforts of Guru Dwara Prem Nagar Committee’s Manjeet Singh Nanda, Ajit Singh, Dalveer Singh Jassal, Surendra Singh Hora, Surinder Singh Khanuja, Prithvi Pal Singh Kukki, Manjeet Singh Khalsa and others.
