Night Combing Operation: 264 absconding non-bailable warrantees nabbed in weekend

Cracking a whip on listed criminals and anti-social elements during ‘Night Combing Operation’, police have nabbed total 264 absconding non-bailable warrantees in the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday. During the night combing, 2 to 3 teams from every police station led by SHOs and Sub Inspectors conducted a rigorous search for warrantees and absconding criminals from 12 midnight to 5 am Sunday. Police have apprehended 264 warrantees who were absconding since a long time. Police have arrested total 96 non-bailable and 168 bailable warrantees and executed total 167 warrants. Besides this, police have arrested 14 accused and seized 52 litres country-made liquor, 197-quarters country-made/English liquor while 7 miscreants were apprehended with sharp edged weapons.

It may be noted that under the direction of Superintendent of Police, Aditya Pratap Singh (IPS) police have started night combing operation for apprehending warrantees and absconding criminals and to put-up vigilant check on illegal trade and transportation of liquor, trade of fire arms and gambling under the supervision of Additional SP (City), Additional SP (Crime), Summer Verma, Additional SP (North/Traffic), Pradeep Kumar Shende, Additional SP (Rural), Suryakant Sharma, Sonali Dubey and CSPs. The special campaign will be continued in coming days for implementing preventive policing in the district and maintaining law and order arrangements in the district.
