SETH Kesrimal Porwal Academy remained unbeaten through the tournament and emerged champions of the Kick Flicks Under-13 Inter-Academy Football Tournament, on Monday. The maiden tournament was organised by Nagpur District Football Association at its Dr Ambedkar Stadium in Suyog Nagar. In the final, Porwal boys quelled the stiff challenge from Sportian Football Academy winning the battle 2-1. Porwal had won three matches in the league round and had drew one. In the final, Mohammad Aasir put the Kamptee based academy ahead in the 29th minute of play.

However, Sportian were equally tough and levelled the score through Nishchay Hedaoo in the added time of the first half (30+1).

 

In the second session, Porwal found the gap in Sportian defence and managed to score their second goal in the 55th minute through Ameer Hamza. That goal proved to be the match winner for Porwal. Haresh Vora, President, NDFA; Iqbal Kashmiri, Secretary; Stanley Gregory, General Secretary; Atmaram Pande, Vice-President; Abid Khan, Vice-President; Sunderral Francis, Mohd Khalid, AB Khan, Mohd Kalim were present during the prize distribution function.
