Haj First group of pilgrims depart from Raja Bhoj Intl Airport

A total of 177 Haj pilgrims took their direct flight for Jeddha from Raja Bhoj Airport, Bhopal, on Tuesday early morning. All the pilgrims were greeted with rose before departure by the Haj Committee. On Wednesday, second direct flight for Jeddha will be departing Bhopal. In two days (May 21 and 22) total 380 pilgrims will be departing for the Haj. Haj Committee’s Chairman Rauf Warsi and other members greeted the pilgrims with rose and wished them for a pleasant journey. Chairman Warsi informed that second flight will be departing the airport for Jeddha on Wednesday. He said around seven thousand pilgrims from Madhya Pradesh departed from Mumbai airport on Tuesday and the chain will be continued till June 9.
 
As the flight departed Bhopal airport at 5:30 am, most of the passengers reached at the airport in the night as some of them belonged to nearby districts. There were sitting arrangement for their relatives who came to drop the pilgrims. Besides, Haj committee arranged drinking water, air cooler, mobile toilet, parking and other essential facilities. A 24-hour doctor and paramedical staff has been assigned at the airport and bed has been kept reserved at Hamidia Hospital for emergency services. Concerned over the scorching heat conditions, ORS sachet were distributed at Haj House to keep them safe from dehydration.
