In the case of ASI Mahendra Bagri, who was killed by a tractor trolley at Shahdol, police arrested the main accused and tractor owner Surendra Singh who had cash reward of Rs 30,000 on his head. Earlier, police has arrested Ashutosh Singh and driver Raj Rawat. SP of Shahdol Kumar Prateeik has Line Attached TI of Beohari Police Station, Munnalal Rahangdale for negligence. After this incident district administration raided many mines and seized more than two dozen hywa from bank of Son river and other places. Further, police also razed the house of accused Ashutosh by bulldozer.

Further, mortal remains of the martyr ASI Mahendra Bagri was brought to his native village at Masanha in Satna district. The funeral pyre was lit by his nephew. SP Ashutosh Gupta and SDOP Vidita Dagar reached Masanha village to pay last respect to the martyr police officer. SP attended the last rites and saluted the martyr police officers. The last rites were performed with full State honours. A contingent from district police paid last respect to the martyr ASI. The body was wrapped in the tricolour. Pall of gloom descended in village when body reached the home. The mother, wife and three daughters of martyr ASI also reached the village along with the mortal remains. Villagers in large number attended the funeral procession and paid last respect to the martyr police officer.
