NDRSA skaters win medals

SKATERS of Nagpur District Roller Skating Association participated in the 5th Ranking Speed Skating National Championship at Amritsar, Punjab and won several medals. The competition was held under the aegis of Roller Skating Federation of India (RSFI). In girls 5-7 years Quad category, Anaya Mohan Nandanwar won gold medals in lap race and two-lap race. Arnika Ninad Bhagat won silver in three-lap race in 7 to 9 year inline girls category while Pathak finished fourth. In Inline category, Anvayee Chanekar (14 to 17 Year age group) won twin gold and a silver in 500 metre, 3000 metre and 1 lap road race while Prashik Kamal Nagle (Above 17 age group) won bronze medal in 1 lap road race.
 
The skaters were coached by Piyush Akare at Piyush Akre Skating Academy at NIT Skating Rink Daga Layout. Anaya Nandanwar, Arnika Bhagat and Trisha Pathak are members of the Prime Skating Club and practice under Dr Upendra Varma and Ayush Meshram at Dada Ramchand Bakhru Sindhu Mahavidyalaya Skating Rink, Panchpaoli. Baba Deshpande and Sunil Sirsikar, Principal of DRB Sindhu Mahavidyalaya Dr VM Pendsey, Chairman Anil Bobde, President Shabbir Vali, Vice-President Adv Sachin Sambre, Secretary Dr Upendra Varma, Treasurer Swapnil Samarth and Nitin Kathote, Nishant Tabhane, Piyush Akare, Nikhilesh Tabhane, Ayush Meshram, Kunal Dandekar, Pankaj Phaye, Ratan Singh, Prashant Malewar, Shailesh Tarare, Rohit Deshpande and Amit Meshram congratulated all the medal winners.
