Three people, including councilor, were injured after a crane crashed during Maharana Pratap’s birth anniversary event in MP Nagar area in Bhopal on Sunday. No casualties were reported in the incident. According to eyewitnesses, on the birth anniversary of Maharana Pratap, people boarded on a crane in an attempt to garland the statue of Maharana Pratap. During the event, Congress Councillor Jitendra Singh Rajput from ward number 66 of Bhopal, along with his companions, boarded on the crane to garland the statue of Maharana Pratap. as soon as the crane was taken to a height, and the councillor leaned forward to place a garland on the statue, the lift came crashing down as welding on the lift broke. Crane suddenly broke down.

 

Due to which the councilor and others fell on the ground from a height. Councillor, his uncle and all the three had a close shave in this incident. There was commotion after people saw crane falling down All the injured were hospitalised. A video of the incident went viral. While talking to ‘The Hitavada’ MP Nagar Police Station Incharge said that they got to know about the accident through media. There is no formal report about in this regard. Because of the accident, the traffic was hit for some time at the MP Nagar Square.
