The Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) has carried out special drive in Garha division and cleared permanent illegal structures which were hindering water flow in nullahs. During the drive, the JMC employees removed encroachment done by an educational institution in the area. The illegal act was creating heavy water-logging in adjoining localities. Hence, giving due consideration to people’s problem, the civic body conducted drive and cleared the encroachment. Senior officials informed that following the direction of Municipal Commissioner, Preeti Yadav the Anti-encroachment and Health Department of the JMC conducted drive to rid people of Tripuri ward under Garha division of water-logging.
 
Officials said the Wisdom Valley School administration had obstructed the way for rainwater drainage of many adjoining localities including Narmada colony, Soni colony, Shashtri Nagar and adjoining areas. The school administration got dumped mud into the channel, which is the main way of clearing rain water from the residential areas. The illegal act was creating water-logging during heavy rains in aforementioned areas. Hence, the JMC by deploying three JCB machines dug out mud from the channel and provided needed relief to the residents. Senior officials informed that despite repeated obstacles in the operations by the school director they ensured that the work was carried out with dedication. The task was completed with the support of Nodal Officer Shailendra Mishra, Divisional Officer Krishnapal Rawat, Keshav, Chief Health Inspector Kaluram Solanki, Assistant Health Officer Anil Bari, Sub Engineer Anoop Patel, In-charge Anti-encroachment team Anurag Thakur, Varun Gautam and others.
