Kamptee United ‘A’ and Orange City ‘B’ were declared joint winners after both the teams failed to break the deadlock in nine penalty strokes each. The match ended in a 1-1 draw and shoot-out method was applied to find a winner. But both the teams continued to score equal number of goals and after nine penalty corners to each team the organising committee decided to declare both the teams joint winners of the Abhijit Realtors and Infraventures Ptv Ltd Six-A-Side Rink Night Hockey Tournament organised by Vidarbha Hockey Players Association at Vidarbha Hockey Association ground, on Sunday.

 

In the girls section, Ira ‘A’ girls defeated Ira ‘B’ 5-2 to take the title. For Ira A, Yashasvi Kubde and Athulya PS scored two goals in first two minutes. Bhargavi and Akshada brought Ira ‘B’ back in the game with two goals in 3rd and 12th minute. Yashasvi then scored two more goals in 13th and 19th minute while Purva Dhandare scored one in 19th to complete a resounding win. In the boys section, Madan Gopal defeated Ira 3-0 to win the trophy. Yash Bande (9th), Anuj Shahu (23rd) and Nikhil Shahu (25th) were the goal scorers for the winning side.
