Noble Sports Academy (NSA) Essence pipped Aai Foundation to clinch the NSA Cup Under-16 Six-A-Side Football Tournament. The meet was organised by NSA at Essence International School ground in Waddhamna, Nagalwadi, recently. In an exciting final, hosts NSA prevailed over Aai Foundation edging the out in the tie breaker. After both the teams failed to break the deadlock in the regulation time, the match was dedided via penalty shoot-out in which NSA beat Aai Foundation 2-0. Aarush Sayam and Piyush Kanojia scored from the spot kick for NSA while none of the Aai Foundation players managed to find the back of the net.

 

NSA received cash prize of Rs 15,000 for their title win along with a tropjhy. Aai Foundation had to be content with Rs 10,000 and a trophy. Nagpur District Football Association President Haresh Vora was the chief guest of the final and gave away the prizes.Vijay Menon was the guest of honour. Papan Pramanik and his team worked hard for the success of the tournament. Individual awards Best Defender: Naushab (Aai Foundation). Top Scorer: Muneeb (Aai Foundation). Best Goalkeeper: Gurasees (Sankalp FC). Player of the tournament: Aarush (NSA Essence). Emerging Player of the tournament: Dhawal Wagade (NSA Priyadarshini). Man of the final: Adwait (NSA Essence).
