As the authorities are hanging fire on declaring Pre Nursing Selection Test (PNST) result, medical wing of National Students Union of India (NSUI) staged demonstrations against the delay at JP Hospital on Thursday. The students in the demonstration under the leadership of Ravi Parmar said that they had given PNST exam in the year 2023, for admissions in Government nursing colleges but the result has not been declared yet. According to the information, the pendency has halted the admission of more than 60,000 students. NSUI leader Ravi Parmar told that the examination of pre-nursing selection test (PNST) was organised by PEB (Vyapam) for the session 2022-23 in the month of July last year. He further stated that the result gets declared after 1 to 2 months of conducting the exam but the result has not been declared yet. “PEB took crores of rupees as examination fee from 66,000 students who sat for the exam. The result of these students has not been declared for the past one year”, he said.

He stressed that the pending result is throwing light on Government’s intention to provide admissions profit to private institutions. “The delay in result declaration of Government nursing colleges speak volumes about intention of the Government to provide profit to private institutions as the admissions in these private institutions are being made indiscriminately. Owing to the pending result, not even a single girl got admitted into the government nursing colleges of the State from 2022”, Parmar said. He also gave heads up to protest in front of CM’s house if the result of Pre Nursing Selection Test (PNST) is not declared forthwith.
