Under its innovative project of Cyber Tehsil, it was possible to do mutation along with registration of properties in a seamless manner in past eight months. Specially, agriculture properties would get mutated automatically after confirming the registry. Government came up with Cyber Tehsil project in the year 2023, and it was implemented as a pilot project in four districts of Madhya Pradesh, including Indore, Sagar, Dindori and Harda. From November 2023, the pilot project implemented in Bhopal after seeing the excellent example of technology. Officials said that the main aim was to ensure that the mutation and registry of the land was done at the same time. Otherwise, people had to do the rounds of the tehsil office for the mutation of the land. In this scheme, after confirming registry of document, it transfers to the Cyber tehsil and then concerned Patwari of that area files online report. After this file, automatic mutation process is done. Automatic mutation of documents also help to add the name of buyer in land records (Khasara).

The process of automatic mutation was started in October 2023 and since then, Bhopal has recorded 1,000 mutation while State has recorded over 55,000 mutation. The scheme has ease the process of documentation. Especially for the agriculture land, buyer do not require to apply offline for the document mutation after having his registry. Online application for mutation will be automatically held after confirming the registry. Officials said that once registry of document is confirmed, online application for mutation will be printed on sales letter and it would be displayed on portal of revenue department. In this project, land property, revenue (RCMS) and land records departments have integrated their data.

The Cyber Tehsil of all districts covered under the pilot project has been set up in Bhopal. Under the Cyber Tehsil, the data of the ‘Sampada’ portal of the registration and stamps department is integrated with revenue case management system (RCMS) portal of the land records department. District Collector Kaushlendra Vikram Singh said that project of automatic mutation of registries have benefited more than one thousand people in Bhopal. He said that these buyers did not visit the tehsil office for the mutation of registry. Based on the result of the pilot project, it would be expanded to other districts and also to urban properties. The work of geo-tagging of each property is going on which will generate a unique number and every department will be able to see the status of the piece of land.
