Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav’s rally and meeting had to be cancelled due to heavy rain on Tuesday afternoon in Amarwara, Chhindwara. CM MohanYadav, BJP State President V D Sharma reached SDM office directly amidst heavy rain and submitted the nomination of BJP candidate Kamlesh Shah for the ensuing by-election. Chhindwara MP Vivek Bunty Sahu and Monica Batti, who was the BJP candidate from Amarwara in the last assembly elections, were also present. By-election is to be held on July 10 on Amarwara seat. Kamlesh Shah was earlier elected MLA from here on Congress ticket.
 
He resigned from the post of MLA after joining BJP on March 29. Gondwana Ganatantra Party (GGP) is also in the fray in Amarwara by-election. On June 17, the party has announced the name of Dev Raven Bhalavi. Dev Raven Bhalavi was also a Lok Sabha candidate from GGP. He got 55,988 votes. On the other hand, Congress is brainstorming on the names of District Panchayat member, Naveen Markam and Anchalkund’s Sevadar Ganesh Maharaj.
