AFTER the success of previous five editions, KA Connects under its brand Adventures and You and Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board (MPTB) are jointly organising the sixth edition of Pachmarhi Monsoon Marathon to be held at Pachmarhi, Madhya Pradesh on July 21, 2024. Addressing a press conference Race Director Mitesh Rambhia said that the sixth edition of the Pachmarhi Monsoon Marathon will witness runners from across country in which around 400 runners from Nagpur are expected to take part. “Pachmarhi Monsoon Marathon is rated as one of the most picturesque and beautiful marathon of India. In this Marathon 42kms full will be the most enduring and difficult one and will be the ultimate test of endurance, stamina and training of the participants,” informed Rambhia. The marathon this year will be held in four different categories: 5kms fun run for 5years and above, 10kms endurance run for 15 years and above, 21kms half marathon for 18years and above and 42kms full marathon for 18 years and above.

 

“There will gift vouchers and trophies for the top three positions in 5kms (Age groups 5-10 years, 11-18 years, 19-30 years, 31-45 years, 46-60 years and 60+ and above) in men and women. 10kms: (Age groups 15-30 years, 31-45 years, 46-60 years and 60+ and above) in men and women. 21kms: (Age groups 18-30 years, 31-45 years, 46-60 years and 60+ and above in men and women. 42kms: (Age groups 18-30 years, 31-45 years, 46-60 years and 60+ and above) in men and women,” informed Rambhia. All runs are timed runs and participants will get a timing chip, Timing certificate, Dri-Fit marathon t-shirts, finishers medal. All the participants will get Rs 3,000 discount vouchers from Brooks India. Only first 1000 entries will be entitled to participate in the runs. “Till now we have received 600 confirmed entries.

The organisers will be giving free entry to personnel from Armed Forces, Civil Defence, Police Department and Home Guards. This year’s winners from all categories will get free entry to Nagpur Marathon which will be held in the month of December. “The full marathon will begin at 3 am on July 21 from MPT Glenn view,” informed Rambhia.
