a massive fire broke out at third floor of Milan Restaurant (Bhamashah Tower) in the zone number one of MP Nagar on Saturday night. Fortunately, no one was hurt and no casualties were reported in the incident. The fire led to traffic jam on road and resulted in a chaotic situation for commuters. According to police, 17-18 fire brigade vehicles were deployed at the location and normalcy returned after two and a half hours.

 

According to the building owner and Milan restaurant owner Nishant Soni, the floor was being given to an insurance company and short circuit is suspected to be the cause of fire. He further mentioned that someone from outside came to him and told that there was fire in the building on which prompt action was taken by them and police team was informed.

 

“The fire incident was major. No casualties were reported in the incident and it took 2.5 hours to control the situation. About 17-18 fire brigade vehicles were deployed to control the situation. Though, the cause of fire is still not known, it is being suspected that it happened due to short circuit,” informed Jaihind Sharma, Thana Incharge, MP Nagar police to ‘The Hitavada’. On being asked about presence of fire safety system at the location, he said that investigations for the same are on and it will be clear during further investigation.
