counting for Lok Sabha elections 2024 is scheduled on June 4 in Old Jail campus of the city for seven legislative constituencies of Bhopal Parliamentary constituency. Taking a note of that, traffic police has issued an advisory to ensure smooth flow of traffic in the area on the counting day. The advisory will be in effect from 6 am on June 4. As per the advisory, flow of traffic will be prohibited from routes coming from CI Colony, Police Control Room trisection, homeguard turning to court intersection to Old Jail. Only vehicles involved in election duty will be able to commute through Old Jail. Movement of general vehicles will remain prohibited from office of State Bank of India (SBI), Maida Mill, Central School 1 and State IT leading to court and Old Jail. For commuters aspiring to move from Jahangirabad to MP Nagar will have to take way of Shabban intersection, Jinsi crossroad, Bogda bridge, Prabhat crossroad, Subhash stop over bridge, Maida mill and Board office intersection.
 
As per traffic police, refreshments for counting officials and representatives will be allowed at main door of the campus and personnel working in the offices will be able to move to their destinations through court intersection and Nirman Bhawan. On parking arrangements made, traffic police informed that vehicles of those engaged in election duty will be parked in Old Jail campus whereas media personnel can also park their vehicles at campus at designated places. From Police Control Room, vehicles of counting officials will be able to commute till home guard turning and will be able to park their vehicles in Lal Parade Ground and MLA rest house and officials coming from DB Mall will be able to commute through court trisection and will be able to park their vehicles in the empty spaces near Vallabh Bhawan road.
 
Whereas, vehicles of representatives will be able to park their vehicles at the designated places in jail campus. Also, counting officials coming from Jahangirabad will be able to come till police ITI with their vehicles and their vehicles will be also parked in the ground of the police ITI. If needed, general public will be also able to park their vehicles at MLA rest house road, ITI ground of Lal Parade Ground and MVM ground parking. Traffic police has urged people to abide by guidelines as laid and has also issued helpline numbers in case of emergency.
