Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India has provisioned Rs 3,321 crore for the year 2024-25 for 18 works for the upgradation and widening of National Highways in Chhattisgarh. Talking to media persons at his official residence in Raipur, Deputy Chief Minister Sao said that double engine Government, over Rs 3,200 crore has been provisioned for construction and renovation of 253.21 kilometres of the National Highways in the state. The amount is almost four times more than the provisions of the last five years, he added.
Upgradation and widening of NH-130-D, widening and repairing of NH-130-C, widening and repairing of NH-30, construction of drain on NH-43, construction of cement concrete of NH-163, widening and upgradation of NH-130-B, widening and upgradation of NH-130-B, widening and upgradation of NH-130-B on Balodabazar-Sarangarh route from Balodabazar to Sel, widening of NH-143-B, widening of NH-30, widening of NH-130-B, reconstruction of small bridge on NH-130, construction of bridge on NH-30, construction of railway over-bridge on NH-163-A, widening and upgradation of NH-153 on Raigarh-Saraipali road, construction of balance work on NH-30 on Keshkal bypass on Kanker-Bedma section and construction of bus-way on NH-43 will be carried out.
Besides, Rs 35 crore has been provisioned for survey and preparation of detailed project report (DPR) of 1,006 kilometres, said Arun Sao. Replying to a query on timing of completion of these works, the Deputy Chief Minister said that National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) would issue the project reports and invite tenders for these works. Deputy Chief Minister Sao expressed gratitude towards Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari for sanctioning these works.
