THE pilot-run of Digitally Signed
PensionPaymentOrders(e-PPO)was
subsequently extended to cover all
19 districts in Marathwada and
Vidarbha coming under the jurisdiction of the office of the Principal
Accountant General (A and E)-II
Maharashtra, Nagpur.
Recognisingthesuccessfultestrun
of the e-PPO project, the Finance
Department, Maharashtra State,
decided to implement e-PPO for all
19 districts of Vidarbha and
MarathwadaregionsofMaharashtra
from June 1, 2024.
The salient features of the e-PPO
projectare:ProvidingDigitallysigned
Pension Authorities (pdf),
sending sms notifications to pensioners on their pension case status,
facility to pensioners to download
their authority from the Mahakosh
website of the State Government,
making the drawing and disbursing
officeroftheStateresponsible forproviding thepensionerwitha printout
of the authority,
death-cum-retirement gratuity will
henceforth be drawn by the treasury
office after issue of the authority.
The pensioner thus will not have
to wait for receiving paper printed
authoritiesbypostas thesehave now
been replaced with issue of digitally
signed pdf authorities which will be
providedbytheofficeofthePrincipal
Accountant General to the State
authorities in an online mode.
ThePrincipalAccountantGeneral,
Nagpur requests all retirees of various departments including
Education Department of
Maharashtra to invariably communicate their mobile numbers while
submitting their Pension Proposal
so as to avail the benefit ofreceiving
timelysmsnotifications. Pensioner’s
Samadhaan platform for redressing
grievancesofthepensionersthrough
video calls.
Pensioners can register their
grievances through various modes
such as google form available on the
office website, online help desk,Toll
free number, physical application,
etc. The pensioner is contacted
throughafortnightly Whattsapp/
Zoom video call by the respective
Pension wing officials and the grievance is redressed face to face. Since
the launch of the Pensioners’
Samadhaaninitiative,morethan250
pensionershave beenabletoresolve
their grievances.
ThePrincipalAccountantGeneral,
Nagpur requests all pensioners to
avail the grievance redressal facility
extended by her office to help them
in resolving their grievances in the
shortest timeframe.
