Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain held a meeting with senior officers at Mantralaya, Nava Raipur in Atal Nagar on Thursday to review the construction of new Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly building, rest house for MLA and houses for officers and employees of Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly .
In the meeting, the progress of construction of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly building, current status, problems and future plans were discussed in detail. Smart lights will be arranged in the new assembly building. Wherever there is less need of light at night, the lights will automatically switch off.
The Chief Secretary directed the officials to send the design, colour painting etc. of the garden to be built in the new assembly to the assembly for approval. Parking space for 700 vehicles will be created in the assembly. Solar panels have been shifted so that the assembly can be powered by solar energy. The hall of the Assembly building will be decorated with Chhattisgarh’s culture, 3D painting, artwork on doors, Bastar art, Jashpur art, LED displays etc.
The new MLA Rest House is being constructed on 44.67 acres of land in village Rakhi in Sector-25 of Nava Raipur. Land has been identified at Sector-31 located in Nava Raipur for the residence of officers and employees of the Assembly.
The Chief Secretary has asked to complete the work within the
stipulated time as per the instructions of the Assembly Speaker.
Secretary of Parliamentary Affairs Department and Secretary of Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly have been asked to jointly inspect the construction site.
The Chief Secretary said that the construction work should be completed with good quality keeping in mind the future needs.
Secretary of Public Works Department Dr Kamalpreet Singh, Secretary of Culture Department Anbalgan P, Secretary of Housing and Environment Department R Shangeetha, Secretary of Parliamentary Affairs Department S Prakash, Secretary of Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Dinesh Sharma, Chief Executive Officer of Nava Raipur Atal Nagar Vikas Pradhikaran and other officers were present.
