IN A fiercely fought elections of
the MIDC Industries
Association (MIA) on Sunday,
formerSecretaryPMohan-led
group emergedwinner paving
the way for him to form new
team of office-bearers for the
nextterm.Afterwinningallthe
11 seats of the new executive
bodyintheelections,PMohan
took over as the new President
of the body while Arun
LanjewarbecametheSecretary
and Manish Sawaal became
Treasure.
Other office bearers are Capt.
CMRandhir, Immediate Past
President; Sachin Jain,
Executive President; Ganesh
Jaiswal,Vice President; Arvind
Kalia,VicePresident;KKDaga,
Vice President; Ajay Agrawal,
Vice President; Pravin Palkar
AdditionalSecretary;and Amey
Khanolkar, Joint Secretary; Ajit
Gill, Sameer Khosla, Charan
Singh Mathuria are Executive
Members.
MIDC Industries Association
conducted its annual general
body meeting (AGM) on
Sunday at MIA Association
Hall, ‘MIA House’, Central
MIDC Road, MIDC Hingna
Industrial Area.
The meeting
was followed by electionofnew
executive members where in
two panels were in the fray. In
all 29 candidates had filled the
nomination forms for eleven
posts of executive members.
Thenewlyelectedmembersof
the executive body are supposed to choose their
President, Secretary and otheroffice-bearers.

panelcontestedtheelection.
However, all
the eleven candidates of P
Mohan’s panel won the election held by secret ballot.
Sameer Khosla won 163 votes
followed by Charan Singh
Mathuria who got 151 votes.

Ajay Agrawal (144), Manish
Sawaal (144), Arun Lanjewar
(141),Pravin Palkar(138),Amey
Khanolkar (135), K K Daga
(135),andSumedhPatwardhan
(133) were the other elected
members. On the other hand,
Yogesh Kataria could manage
to get only 55 votes. MIA has
morethan430membersunder
its fold out of which only 290
were eligible for voting.
