NAGPUR District Chess Association (NDCA) will be inching towards a unique achievement when it will conduct the 100th edition of weekend rapid chess championship from Saturday. The Centenary 100th Weekend Rapid Chess Tournament will be held at Naivedhyam Eastoria, Surya Nagar, Kalmana with a total prize money of Rs 1 lakh. The inaugural function will be held on Saturday at 5 pm and the first round will follow immediately after the function. The total cash prize of Rs 1,00,000 will be awarded to first 25 players and to veteran, female and handicaps.

 

Trophies and medals will be awarded to top fiveboys and girls in each agegroup of Under-7, U-9,U-11, U-13 years. The entry fee is Rs 500per participant and thesame will be accepted tillAugust 29 upto 11.59 pm.Thereafter late fee of Rs100 will be charged tillAugust 30.
