THE ‘39th National Eye Donation Fortnight’ is being observed atMadhavNetralaya Eye Institute and Research Centre, Purshottam Bhavan, GajananNagarT-Point,Wardha Road, Nagpur from August 26 to September 8, 2024. The ‘39th National Eye Donation Fortnight’ was launched by Dr Sangeeta Indurkar, District Ophthalmic Surgeon, Nagpur who was the chief guest at the event. On the occasion, Dr Avinash Chandra Agnihotri, General Secretary of Madhav Netralaya Charitable Trust providedinformation about the various schemes underway at the eyeinstitute.

 

Dr Sangeeta Indurkar mentioned about the importanceof creating awareness regarding eye donation among thepublic. Dr Milind Hardas wasalsopresent at theprogramme. The objective of the ‘39thNational Eye DonationFortnight’ is to create awareness about the importance of eye donation and to motivatepeople to pledge their eyes fordonation after death.
