Illegal sand excavation is being done by using Poclain machines near Rohna mine Ret ghat in Kanhan river of Ramakona village through dumpers. These days, illegal sand excavation is being done fearlessly by ignoring the instructions of the Government.

On receiving the information, the Revenue and Mineral Department went to the Ret ghat and took a joint action in which they seized a Poclain machine and registered a case. On getting the hint of action, the dumper and tractor drivers filling sand ran away with their vehicles.

 

 

According to the information, on Thursday afternoon, social worker Pankaj Thackeray informed the administration about sand excavation from Poclain in the river at Rohna Ret ghat and asked the officials to take action.

 

 

On receiving the information, Tehsildar, Bhavna Malgam and Mineral Officer went to the Ret ghat and took action. Poclain has been seized from the river. It was seen that there were a large number of dumpers at the Ret ghat. Fearing action by the administration, they fled with their vehicles. The Poclain driver also fled from the spot. The Revenue and Mineral Department is investigating.
