City boxers pickedfor junior nationals

 

 

TWO boxers from Nagpur have been selected in the Maharashtra team that will participate in the Junior National Boxing Championship which is going to be held at Rohtak, Haryana from August 8 to 11. Khushi Shaikh (66kgs weight category) and Anant Deshmukh (63 kgs weight category) will be part of the State squad. Both are undergoing training at Mankapur Boxing Training Centre under the guidance of NSNIS coach Ganesh Purohit and Yogesh Mishra. Both attended the trials held at Jalgaon. A team of boxers would be selected for Asian Junior Boxing Championship during this competition. The Asian meet is going to held at Abu Dhabi from August 27 to September 10. All members of Nagpur District Boxing Association congratulated and wished luck to both boxers for the upcoming nationals.
