PURVESH Denge and Tanvi Katole clinched gold medals in their respective categories in the 16th District-Level Sub-Junior, Junior and Senior Wushu Championships on Sunday. The championship is being organised by Nagpur District Wushu Association (NDWA) under the aegis of All Maharashtra Wushu Association (AMWA) at Late Gangadharrao Fadnavis Indoor Sports Complex in Vivekanand Nagar. Purvesh in U-21kg boys defeated Aaroh P to win gold medal, while in girls Tanvi Katole knocked Shivani Deotale out to emerge champion. Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated at the hands of Secretary of NDWA Deepak Bisen. Sumit Nagdawane, Gaurav Parale, Rohan Barapatre, Kumudini Bisen, Ishika Anturkar, Ishwar Pawar and other officials were present during the opening ceremony.
