RSS, VHP request Centre to take appropriate measures
BHAIYYAJI Joshi, Member of
All India Executive Committee
of Rashtriya Swayamsevak
Sangh (RSS) on Tuesday said
that RSS has requested Central
Government to ensure safety
of the Hindus in Bangladesh.
The country is facing anarchylike situation due to political
turmoil.
“It is being reported that the
minority Hindu community is
being targeted,” Joshi pointed
out while interacting with
mediapersons onTuesday.
Joshi further elaborated,
“Bangladesh is a different
country.
There are limitations
as to what voluntary organisations can do from here. But we
are requesting the (Indian)
Government to ensure safety
of the Hindus over there. We
are confident that the
Government will take steps
towards it.”
To a question about whether
Hindus were being targeted in
the neighbouring country amid
widespread unrest and resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh
Hasina, Joshi made it clear that
it was so, and news reports
about such incidents are coming out. Similar demand has been
made by Alok Kumar, senior
lawyer and International
President of Vishwa Hindu
Parishad ( VHP). He
expressed fear that Hindus’
homes, establishments, temples, gurudwaras, women,
children are not safe. Centre
should take serious cognisance. The condition of
minority Hindus is getting
bad, pointed out Alok Kumar.
According to Alok Kumar,
there are chances of infiltration from Bangladesh
side against the backdrop of
present situation there,
considering which Central
Government should
take appropriate measures
immediately
