SHRIKANT R Manthanwar, Scientific Officer/H has assumed the charge of Regional Director, Atomic Minerals Directorate for Exploration and Research (AMD), Central Region, Nagpur on September2, 2024. AMD is the Exploration and Research wing under the administrative control of Department of Atomic Energy (DAE). Manthanwar joined AMD in 1989, he did his schooling from Government High School, Gadchiroli, B.Sc. degree from Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur and M.Sc. (Tech.) degree in Applied Geology from Indian Institute of Technology(Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad.

 

He has been actively involved in exploration and research for atomic minerals in different geological domains in the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Rajasthan, Chhatisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Odisha with over 35 years of experience in the Directorate. He will guide exploration and research efforts in Central India, says a press release.
