Activist Dr Bang couple tofeature in KBC on Sept 13

 

 

 

Padma Shri Dr Abhay Bang and Padma Shri Dr Rani Bang, renowned public health activists and researchers working in the Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra, India, and founders of non-profit organisation SEARCH (Society for Education, Action, and Research in Community Health), will be seen as contestants in the Indian television (TV) show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC).

 

The episode featuring them playing the game with the gameshow’s host, the legendary Padma Vibhushan Amitabh Bachchan, will air on September 13 on an Indian television channel at 9 pm. Dr Abhay and Dr Rani Bang has been honoured with Padma Shri Award by the Government of India; ‘Maharashtra Bhushan’ conferred by the State Government of Maharashtra, and were selected as ‘Public Health Champion’ by World Health Organisation (WHO) in 2016.
