SP, Aditya Pratap Singh reviews sensitive crime cases in meeting

Superintendent of Police, Aditya Pratap Singh chaired a crime review meeting of gazetted officers and SHOs of urban and rural police stations to review preparations for maintaining law and order arrangements during forthcoming festivals in the district, on Sunday. SP, Aditya Pratap Singh one by one reviewed the sensitive crime cases of murder, attempting murder, loot, rape and forgery and sought information from SHOs about reason behind pending cases and given necessary directions to resolve the cases. Officers were instructed to ensure conviction in sensitive crime cases by thorough investigation and evidences. SP, Singh instructed the officers for filing charge-sheet of women related crime cases within 60-days while pending departmental inquiry against police officers and employees should be completed within stipulated time.
 
He directed the officers for taking preventive action against listed criminals and timely execution of notices, summons and warrants issued by the high court. In case of finding any kind of suspicious element or activity, police should take preventive action under Section 173(8) and 299 of Cr.P.C. and NSA. Officers should ensure availability of Balwa drill materials include tear gas, torch, video camera and checking of PA system in police vehicles and taking prompt action in case of finding any kind of suspicious activity.
 
Addressing the meeting, SP, Aditya Pratap Singh said that coming days are significant for maintaining law and order arrangements in the district. Police should conduct march on Juloos routes in their respective police stations and ensure cleanliness and lighting arrangements. Police should identify the spots where clashes took place in their respective areas to pay special attention in sensitive areas to avoid any kind of untoward incident during the festivals. During the meeting, ASP (City), Sonakshi Saxena (IPS), ASP (Crime), Summer Verma, ASP (North/Traffic), Pradeep Kumar Shende, ASP (Rural), Suryakant Sharma, Additional SP (Rural), Sonali Dubey, CSPs and SHOs of different police stations were present.
