TRACK Star Athletics Club’s Samit Tong and Black Bird Flyers Club’s Vadapalli Nageshwari will lead the Nagpur district’s boys and girls teams in the 38th Maharashtra State Junior Group Athletics Championship for U-14, U-16, U-18 and U-20.
The championship is being organised by Pune District Athletics Association from September 19 under the auspices of Maharashtra State Athletics Association at Shivchhatrapati Krida Nagri, Balewadi, Pune’s synthetic track.
Dr Sharad Suryawanshi, Secretary, Nagpur District Athletics Association announced the district teams.
A selection committee, comprising Jitendra Ghordadekar Umakant Sangode, Gaurav Mirase, Rohini Raut and Ramchandra Wani, picked the teams.
Wani will be the coach of the team while Akshay Pal will be the manager.

Boys Under-14: Soumya Nikode (Triathlon C), Yatharth Wandhare (Triathlon A), Siddhesh Kshirsagar (Triathlon B), Abhinav Tyagi (Javelin, Kalpesh Kshirsagar (Triathlon B), Harsh Dhoble (Triathlon C).
