Future Athletics and Sports Academy emerged overall champions in the recently concluded Nagpur District Athletics Association organised district championship. The event was held at Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University’s Synthetic Track, Amravati Road. Future Athletics and Sports Club collected highest 40 points to emerge overall champions. Track Star finished second while Nav Maharashtra Krida Mandal claimed third spot with 129 and 124 points, respectively Principle of Ishwar Deshmukh College of Physical Education Dr Sharda Naidu was the chief guest of the prize distribution function. Pooja Manmode of Humanity Social Foundation and NDAA President Gurudev Nagrale were the guests of honour. Dr Nitin Jangnitwar presided over the function. In the age group championship, Future Athletics and Sports Academy won titles in U-14 Boys (26 points), U-16 Girls (23 points), U-18 Girls (33 points), U-18 Boys (28 points ) and U-20 Boys (20 points, 3rd place). Total 35 athletes of Future club participated in the tournament in Under-14 U-16 and U-18 age categories. Winners Anshul Pithore (Gold), Ronine Montaro (Gold), Shetty, Amelia Martin bagged Bronze medal in mixed relay.

Under-18 boys, Sanay Taikar (Gold, high jump), Navile Krishnan (Gold, 100 mtr), Harsh Kamble (Silver, 100 mtr), Harsh Upadhya (Gold, 200 mtr, Silver, 400 mtr), Vinay Idhole (Silver, javelin throw), Ozane Montero (Gold, 100 mtr, Silver, 200 mtr), Anshu Sharma (Gold, long jump, Silver, 400 mtr), Aastha Rawat (Silver, discuss throw, Bronze, shot put). U-18 4x100 relay (Silver, Harsh Upadhyay, Harsh Kamble, Navile Krishnan, Pranay Ujawane). U-23 Girls: Sanskruti Dangi (Bronze, long jump, Bronze, 200 mtr). All the students qualified for State level tournament to be held at Pune from September 19 to 21. The athletes were coached by Dr Brijmohan Singh Rawat, Assistant coaches Mayur Meshram and Aryan Pandey.
