A BOMB hoax disrupted the travel plans of around 69 passengers on the Jabalpur Hyderabad Indigo flight 6E7308, causing an emergency landing at Nagpur Airport and leaving them stranded for over six hours. After thorough security checks and passenger interrogations, the flight was finally cleared to take off to Hyderabad. According to the information received, the Indigo flight took off from Jabalpur's Dumna Airport at 8 am, on Sunday with 69 passengers on board, heading for Hyderabad.

The flight was scheduled to land at Hyderabad at 9.40 am. However, at 9.10 am, it was diverted to Nagpur Airport following an emergency alert. Upon landing, senior officials from various security agencies, including the Bomb Disposal Squad, Dog Squad, CISF and Maharashtra Police, rushed to the scene to conduct investigations. Meanwhile, senior officials also gathered at Jabalpur's Dumna Airport as the news of the emergency landing spread. Indigo’s officials reported that the flight had 69 passengers and four crew members. Shortly after take-off from Jabalpur, a crew member discovered a message written on a paper napkin in the aircraft’s washroom.

The message read ‘Explosion @ 9:00 AM’. The crew member immediately informed the pilot, who then notified the Nagpur Area Traffic Control. The flight was immediately diverted to Nagpur. On landing, all passengers were safely evacuated from the aircraft. Security teams thoroughly inspected the luggage and interrogated both passengers and crew members. Investigations are ongoing to determine the origin and timing of the threatening message. Neeraj Kumar, In-charge Director of Dumna Airport and DGM/ATC In-charge, confirmed that the bomb threat was a hoax. After exhaustive checks by all concerned agencies and obtaining security clearance, the flight 6E-7308 was allowed to depart from Nagpur Airport at 3.30 pm and continue its journey to Hyderabad. The flight reportedly landed at Hyderabad airport at 5.30 pm. Anyways, the incident highlights the serious implications of such threats and at the same time, also warns concerned agencies to take more deterrent measures to ensure passenger safety
