DELEGATES from the Vidarbha Economic Development Council (VED), led by Rina Sinha, President, and ShivkumarRao,PastPresident of the VED Council, recently met Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and discussed the establishment of a much-needed petrochemical complex in Vidarbha. The meeting was held with the support of former MLA Dr Ashish Deshmukh.

 

During the meeting, Shivkumar Rao emphasized the critical need for a petro chemical complex inVidarbha, a region currently burdened by high costs of petroleum products and petrochemicals dueto logistical challenges. The VED delegation presented Engineers India Ltd.’s(EIL) Techno-Economic Feasibility Study to the Deputy Chief Minister highlighting the necessity of establishing a petrochemical complex inVidarbha. The Deputy Chief Minister assured the delegation that hewouldadvocate for the project and ensures it progresses through the necessary channels.
