IRA International School blanked Wardha by three goals to nil to emerge divisional hockey champions. The team thus qualified for the State level meet to be held at Balewadi, Pune from September 22. In the divisional level final held at Police ground in Chandrapur, Ira displayed exceptional skills to emerge the winners. Chhavi Athote, Bhargavi Urkudkar and Shravani Tulankar were the scorers of the final. In earlier match, the team showcased an impressive performance to record thumping 7-0 win over Gondia.

 

Captain Athulya PS, Yashasvi Kubde, Shrawani Tulankar, Bhargavi Urkudkar, Chhavi Athote were the goal getters. In another match, they beat Seelo 3-0. Chhavi, Bhargavi and Shrawani Tulankar scored the goals. Maitree Thakare, Lajo Rahangdale, Maithili Matkar, Lavanya Shahare, Mahi Patil, Daskirat Karu, Rishali Nikhade, Parisha Nikhade, Hanshika Chauhan, Sumidharani Das, Akshara Awari also played well for the team. The team was coached by Shahid Bux while Rinky Yadav was the manager. Principal of Ira International School Manisha Sathe congratulated the team and wished them luck.
