In shadows deep injustice lies,
Where tears flow,
Along with silent screams of girls
Their names we do not know.
There seems to be no solution in sight
A fleeting vision dimmed by night
While we speak for equality and more
Something has to be corrected at the core
Boys too bear the weight of pain
In farms and fields, their cries remain.
Some stories remain untold
Young boy whose dreams are sold.
Draupadi’s tale rings clear and strong,
“Krishna won’t come; the fight is long.”
In modern times, the sword we raise;
When justice falters, we must blaze.
Two hundred women in a courtroom’s fray,
A rapist met his end that day.
A brother’s rage, a sister’s plea
He faced consequences of his deed.
These stories speak, they shout, they call
For change, for hope, for justice’s thrall.
Let these verses mark the day
We stand united, come what may.
