After construction of the State’s longest flyover from Damoh Naka to Madan Mahal, Jabalpur is soon set to benefit from the construction of four new flyover bridges. The project, made possible by the continuous efforts of State Public Works Department Minister Rakesh Singh, is aimed at improving traffic management across the city. On Sunday, Minister Singh inspected the routes where these new flyovers, costing an estimated amount of Rs 1,600 crore, will be constructed. Speaking on the occasion he said that a feasibility study for all four proposed flyovers has already been completed and a final decision at the ministerial level is expected soon.
 
He informed that the first flyover would be built at a cost of about Rs 400 crore. It will connect Adarsh Nagar Sai Temple to Bandaria Tiraha, extending up to Anagad Mahavir Temple. Likewise, ramps will be constructed at key points like Grenadier Chowk to Kesharwani Sweets in Rampur, Bandaria Tiraha to Hawa Bagh College and Anagad Mandir. Similarly, second flyover will be constructed with an estimated cost of Rs 800 crore. This flyover will start from Hotel Rishi Regency, passing through High Court Chowk, Ghamapur Chowk, Bhanatalaiya and end at Captain Hameed Chowk near Raddi Chowki. Third flyover with cost Rs 100 crore. The flyover will span from Raddi Chowki to Birsa Munda Square. And the fourth flyover will be constructed with a cost of between Rs 180 to Rs 200 crore. It will connect Empire Tiraha, Pantinaka and end at YMCA Ground. During the inspection, Minister Singh held detailed discussions with the officials of the construction agency and gave necessary instructions for the project’s execution. Those also present on the occasion accompanying Minister Singh during the inspection were MLA Ashok Rohani, BJP City President Prabhat Sahu, Chief Engineer of PWD S C Verma and other senior officers.
