NEHAL Gosavi lived up to her billing and bagged double crowns while Chunharmeet Sokhi won the men’s singles title in the GH Raisoni Memorial Vidarbha-Level Badminton Tournament that concluded at Subhedar Badminton Hall on Tuesday. Nehal defeated Mugdha Sawarkar 21-10, 21-13 in women’s singles final and then teaming up with Ananya Durugkar, won the doubles beating Manisha Bhawatkar and Manjiri Dhok 21-10, 21-5. Sokhi got the better of Nabeel Ahmed 21-16, 21-6 in straight games in the final. In the men’s doubles final, Gaurav Rege and Hriday Deshmukh rallied to beat Sourabh Kerhalkar and Vedit Chokhani in three games 17-21, 25-23, 21-16. Prizes were distribution by Aditya Bhandari (Executive Director, Global Education); Kundatai Vijaykar (President, NDBA) and Mangesh Kashikar (Secretary). Bhavana Agrey (Jt Secretary), Gurdeep Singh Arora (EC Member) Bhavesh Deshmukh, Aditya Galande (Tournament Referee) and Gaurav Narnaware (Tournament Dy Referee) were prominently present.
