Three city athletes, Mitali Bhoyar, Chaitali Borekar and Neha Dabale, have been selected in the Maharashtra squad that will participate in the 4th National Open Athletics (Under-23) Championship starting in Patna, Bihar from Saturday. Mitali will compete in the 5000m race while Chaitali will represent Maharashtra in the 3000m steeplechase race. Neha will compete in her favourite 400m hurdles event. Mitali and Chaitali are athletes of Track Star Athletics Club and train under Ravindra Tong and Umesh Naidu while Neha is an athlete of Future Athletics Club and trains under Dr Brijmohan Singh Rawat at Divisional Sports Complex in Mankapur.
